ספר המורכב מארסנל של למעלה מארבע מאות תמונות שצילמה לי נבו במהלך ארבע שנים, על הציר שבין ארבע מדינות בהן התגוררה: צרפת, גרמניה, בלגיה וישראל. הספר נערך ועוצב כולו על ידה במחשבות על נומדיות וכטייק-אוף על מגזיני חופשות מהסוג שיכול להימצא באיזו מגירה במשרד אפרורי, או מעין מגזין פורנוגרפי של מחשבות אסורות על בריחה. הצילומים נלקחו ממגוון מקורות והם מפגישים הרגלים יומיומיים, צילומי מסך, הודעות טקסט, חברים ומאהבים, לצד פרטים מהעשייה האמנותית שלה המוטבעים בדיסקרטיות בין רפרנסים, רשמים, פסינציות ואובססיות. ‘How Do You Short Circuit Control (East wing, left lobe and middle of the road) is a new artist book by Lee Nevo that includes over four hundred photographs taken by Lee with her mobile, during four years spent between four countries – France, Germany, Belgium and Israel. The images are from everywhere – bringing together daily habits, screenshots, text messages, friends and lovers, as well as fragments from her artistic practice, discreetly embedded amongst other references, impressions, fascinations and obsessions. Each page was personally set and curated by the artist, creating a daring visual journey which rethinks our relationship both with the grid, and with control itself, carving out an ambiguous space that lies where life and art meet, perpetually in limbo.
